Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites!

Cordon Bleu' is a French term, literally translated as 'blue ribbon', that originally referred to an award for culinary excellence.
These delectable morsels are nothing less than culinary excellence, just in bite size pieces. They're melt-in-your-mouth flavor and texture really put a high-class twist on "finger food". I refer to them as "grown up party food" but they're so tasty that children can't get enough of them either, so be sure to make a good amount. I usually double the recipe below so that everybody gets a few.

INGREDIENTS

300g Meat Cuisine Chicken Mince
240g Swiss cheese, cut into small cubes
1/2 Cup diced ham
1 egg
1/2 cup (60g) breadcrumbs
2 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil (For frying)

METHOD

1.Preheat your oven to 180.

2.Combine the mince, ham and egg in a bowl until evenly mixed. Roll into even sized balls with one cube of cheese in the center of each.

3.Make sure there is some ham and cheese in each ball (preferably in the centre)

4.Roll balls in bread crumbs until fully covered.
5.Heat oil in a deep frypan.
6.Fry the balls until the outsides are golden brown, about 4 minutes.
7.Place balls as they cook onto paper towels to drain the excess oil.
8. Place cooked balls into a baking dish and bake for about 20min.
